Issues and Expectations: Having produced a stunning colt, she has now been in work for a year. We have mainly worked on her fitness and strength and not really pushed her on the technical correctness of dressage. Lucky for me this horse finds most of the work easy and has a lot of swing over her back in the trot and canter. I am now working her into a steady contact with the emphasis on suppleness and straightness. She has started the basics of the lateral work and counter canter. I am sure she will tell me when she is ready to move on. She is in a double today as she is much more settled in the submission, however, this is something I alternate on a regular basis.
