About Us

Hello and Welcome to the Fiddlers Green Stud Team. Together we ensure your horses are kept to the highest standard and you both gain the very best training.

Daniel Watson

Daniel grew up in a non-horsey background but after continuous nagging started riding at the age of five and went on to persue a show jumping career as a teenager. He was successful at JC level ponies and senior grade C Foxhunter classes before moving onto dressage at the age of seventeen. Daniel still jumps every once in a while but the bug of dressage took over as the main part of his career.

Daniel's Dressage career began as a working pupil for the Herr Franz Rochowansky, otherwise known as Rocky. Rocky was a demanding teacher and gave Daniel a fantastic grounding in the principles of Dressage.

After training with Rocky, Daniel was fortunate in taking up placements with trainers such as Herbert and Karin Rehbien and Jennie Loriston-Clarke, and more recently Kyra Kurtland Olympic Rider/Trainer. He went on to be very successful at International level as a young rider before competing up to FEI International levels as a senior rider. In 2006 Daniel moved to Fiddlers Green Stud and is now developing the stables as a centre of excellence for training and breeding with Alex Wyatt.

Alex Wyatt  BHS II SM

Alex started riding at the age of seven, in his local riding school where he developed a passion for hormanship and competition. During his school days Alex worked for Ann Willets who introduced him to competitive dressage and helped Alex find his first horse Candy Floss II a Clydesdale x Thoroughbred Mare. It was this exceptional mare that Alex recognises for making him the rider and trainer he is today.

Alex began his career and BHS training with Susanne Frank in Worcestershire who instilled the importance of correct training and stable managment. From Sue's, Alex moved to Gloucester breaking and producing young horses for competition and sales for Sandra Biddlecombe and breaking horses for such riders as Carl Hester as well as for private owners.

Alex has competed successfully at British Dressage up to Advanced level and British Eventing to Novice. He enjoys teaching all levels and ages. In 2008 Alex was named the BHS Young Instructor of the Year first reserve, was a BD Talent Spotting Finalist as well as being placed 8th in the Four year old National Shearwater Finals with FGS Don Dolfo
